Nagpur: To manage the heavy crowd and ensure smooth passenger movement at Nagpur Railway Station during the Diwali and Chhath festivals, Central Railway’s Nagpur Division has decided to impose a temporary restriction on the sale of platform tickets. This restriction will remain in force from 17th October 2025 to 27th October 2025.

During this period, only bona fide passengers will be allowed entry into the station premises to avoid overcrowding and ensure safety and convenience for all.

However, the facility of platform tickets will be extended to persons accompanying aged/senior citizens, ailing, illiterate, or lady passengers who are unable to take care of themselves.

Information regarding this restriction will be displayed through bilingual (Hindi and Marathi) notice boards at prominent locations near the booking offices.

Nagpur Division of Central Railway appeals to passengers and the general public to extend their cooperation to ensure smooth operations and avoid inconvenience.
