Nagpur: On Friday, July 11, under “Operation Nanhey Farishte,” the RPF Post Nagpur rescued three minor girls in two separate incidents during routine patrolling at Nagpur Railway Station.

In the first incident, a minor girl was found near the Ladies Waiting Room on Platform No. 1 by an on-duty RPF staff member. Upon empathetic questioning, the girl revealed that she had left home without informing her parents due to a personal reason, but now wished to return home. RPF contacted her family and, after a medical check-up, safely handed her over to the Government Girls’ Shelter Home at Katol Naka in the presence of a woman constable and Childline representative, until the arrival of her guardians.

In the second incident, two minor girls were found near the General Waiting Hall on Platform No. 1 by RPF personnel. During inquiry, they informed that they had left home due to a domestic issue and travelled by train to Nagpur. Since a missing report had already been filed for them at their local police station, their families were contacted immediately. Following a health check-up, both girls were safely handed over to the Government Girls’ Shelter Home at Katol Naka with proper coordination among RPF, female constables, and Childline.

RPF Nagpur’s alertness, empathy, and timely action ensured the safety and reunification of these three minor girls with their families — a commendable effort under the ongoing “Operation Nanhey Farishte.”
