Citizen Anuj Soni Honoured by Nagpur Police Commissioner for Helping Trace Missing Girl Under ‘Operation Shodh’

Nagpur: In a commendable example of civic responsibility, Anuj Vijay Soni, a resident of Nagbhavan, Civil Lines, was honoured by Nagpur Police Commissioner Dr. Ravindra Kumar Singal for his timely assistance in helping trace a missing 16-year-old girl under the ongoing ‘Operation Shodh’ initiative.


The special operation, launched by Nagpur City Police, aims to locate and reunite missing children and individuals with their families. While the police are spearheading this initiative, alert citizens are playing a crucial role in its success.


In one such incident, Anil Pandey (42), a resident of Ladikar Layout, Manewada Road, filed a complaint at Hudkeshwar Police Station, reporting that his 16-year-old daughter had gone missing — causing significant emotional distress to the family.


Amid the ongoing search efforts, Anuj Soni, acting as a vigilant, responsible, and compassionate citizen, noticed the missing girl in the Nagbhavan area and promptly reported the sighting to Sitabuldi Police Station. Based on the information he provided, the police swiftly acted, located the girl, and safely reunited her with her family.


Acknowledging his exemplary conduct, Dr. Ravindra Kumar Singal, Police Commissioner of Nagpur, personally felicitated Anuj Soni with a certificate of appreciation at his office, recognizing his humanity, civic sense, and sensitivity.


Police officials stated that such cooperation from citizens is vital to the success of Operation Shodh, which is not just a police initiative but a collective mission of every responsible individual in society.


Thanks to the alertness and timely action of young citizens like Anuj Soni, Nagpur continues to become a safer, stronger, and more trustworthy city.
