Nagpur: Nagpur district’s historic temple town of Ramtek is set to witness a star-studded visit as actors Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi, who portray Lord Rama and Sita in the upcoming film Ramayana, are expected to visit Ramtek on October 11.
According to information shared by Ramtek MLA Ashish Jaiswal, the Ramayana film team will attend the upcoming Raas Garba Mahotsav in Ramtek. Jaiswal said that Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi are among the members of the film team expected to be present at the event. The announcement was made while he met women associated with the organisation of the festival.
During their Ramtek visit, the actors are also expected to seek blessings at the historic Shri Ram Temple situated on Ramtek Gad. Ramtek, located around 50 km from Nagpur, has deep religious associations with the Ramayana tradition and is believed to be a place where Lord Rama stayed during his exile.
The visit carries additional significance as Ranbir Kapoor plays Lord Rama, while Sai Pallavi portrays Sita in filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari’s much-awaited Ramayana. The film also features Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman.
The actors have recently been actively involved in the film’s promotional events. Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi were seen together at a special Ramayana event in Mumbai in late September.
With the Ramayana team’s expected presence, the upcoming Raas Garba Mahotsav and the stars’ proposed darshan at Ramtek Gad are likely to draw considerable attention from devotees and fans across Nagpur district.
