Nagpur: In a brutal attack on Sunday, October 13, between 9:15 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., a man was killed and two others were seriously injured in Vijay Nagar, near Sant Kabir School Road. The incident took place under the jurisdiction of Kalamna Police Station.
According to the police report, the complainant, Ishwar alias Patel Keshav Nishad, aged 21, a resident of Vaishno Devi Nagar and his two friends, Tahir alias Baba Zakir Khan, aged 22, and Deepak Bihari Lal Misriya, aged 25, had gone to Vijay Nagar to collect Rs 20,000 from an individual named Arjun Chakole.
While they were near the garden area, they were attacked by Nandkumar Siyaram Chakole, aged 41, his son Karan Nandkumar Chakole, aged 21, both Nandkumar Chakole, aged 21, both residents of Vijay Nagar, Nagraj Chowk along with a juvenile and several others. The assailants, armed with iron rods and wooden sticks, allegedly attacked the trio with the intention of killing them, causing serious injuries.
The injured victims were rushed to Bhavani Hospital in Pardi for treatment, where Tahir alias Baba Zakir Khan was declared dead by doctors on October 14 at 7:30 a.m. The complainant, Ishwar Nishad, and Deepak Misriya are still receiving medical treatment for their injuries.
Based on the complaint, the Kalamna Police Station has registered a case against the accused under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including Sections 109, 115(2), 189(2), 189(4), 191(2), 191(3), and 190, along with Section 135 of the Maharashtra Police Act. Section 103 was later added. Further investigations are on.
