Nagpur: In a heartwarming rescue, Beltarodi Police safely reunited an 11-year-old boy from Madhya Pradesh with his parents after finding him wandering alone in Nagpur.

According to police, Bit Marshal officers were patrolling the Chichbhavan area under the Beltarodi Police Station limits at around 6 pm on July 22 when they found the boy, identified as Vasant Suraj Dhurve (11).

The officers initially searched the surrounding area for his relatives but were unable to locate anyone. The child was then brought to Beltarodi Police Station.

As the boy could not provide clear details about his parents, police patiently interacted with him and gained his confidence. During the conversation, they learned that he belonged to Balaghat district in Madhya Pradesh, where his father and uncle worked as labourers.

Assistant Police Inspector Kandure and Head Constable Ravindra Akare then launched a search operation and traced the boy’s father, Suraj Baisakh Dhurve (45), a resident of Bhima village, Haider tehsil, Balaghat district, who was working at a construction site in Leverage City on the Shankarpur-Panjri Road.

After verifying the identity of the family, police safely handed over the child to his father.

The timely efforts of the Beltarodi Police ensured the safe reunion of the missing child with his family, preventing any potential harm.
