Nagpur: A major burglary has been reported under the jurisdiction of Nandanvan Police Station, where unknown burglars broke into a locked house and decamped with cash and ornaments worth ₹7.18 lakh. The incident occurred between May 23, 9:15 pm, and May 25, 4:30 pm at Plot No. 41, Pawansut Nagar, Ramna Maroti Road, Nandanvan.
The complainant, Suhas Vamanrao Bante (47), had gone to Shegaon with his family, locking his house and leaving the keys with a neighbor. Suspicion arose when a local woman noticed the house door ajar. Upon checking, the family found that thieves had broken into the wooden cupboard in the bedroom and stolen ₹7,000 in cash along with various gold and silver ornaments.
Based on the complaint, Nandanvan Police have registered a case under Sections 305(A), 331(3), and 331(4) of the BNS against unknown persons.
