Nagpur: Lakadganj Police apprehended two individuals for stealing valuables from a two-wheeler parked near Sulabh Shauchalaya close to Ganga-Jamuna Chowki. The incident occurred around 5:00 PM on May 27, 2025, when the complainant, Vishal Lalchand Thakur (23), a resident of Taj Nagar, Koradi Road, parked his vehicle (MH-31-FY-2289) and went to the restroom.
During this brief period, the accused allegedly broke open the scooter’s dickey and stole:
• An Oppo mobile phone
• A silver chain
• A silver bracelet
• ₹7,000 in cash
Total stolen property was valued at ₹26,500.
Based on the complaint, PSI Kamble initiated a technical investigation and, acting on credible inputs, identified and arrested the accused Nawazuddin Rafiq Khan (22), resident of Timki, Tehsil, Nagpur and Ranjeet Rajesh Dhanawat (28), resident of Pardi, Nagpur.
A case has been registered under Section 379(2) of the BNS, and further investigation is underway.
