Nagpur: The body of an unidentified man aged between 50 to 55 years was found in the Kanhan riverbed opposite Amma Dargah in Gadeghat, within Old Kamptee Police Station limits, around 1 PM on July 29.

The deceased is described as having a dark complexion, strong build, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, and wearing a brown “Macho” brand underwear and a yellowish vest. Police have not yet been able to identify the deceased and have appealed to citizens to help trace his relatives.

The accidental death report was filed based on the statement of Vijay Krishnaaji Lanjewar (40), a resident of Cantonment Area, Purana Godam, Kamptee. The investigation is being carried out by PSI Sawant.
