Fake Branded Shoes of ASICS, CROCS, NIKE, and JORDAN Worth ₹8.8 Lakh Seized in Nagpur; Three Shopkeepers Booked

Nagpur: Acting on a complaint by an enforcement officer from United & United Company, Tehsil Police conducted a raid at two shoe stores in Timki Tinkhambha Chowk on July 29.


The crackdown led to the seizure of counterfeit shoes and slippers bearing fake labels of renowned brands such as ASICS, CROCS, NIKE, and JORDAN, with a total estimated value of ₹8,80,635.


Three shopkeepers identified as Jaykumar Narayandas Thadani (35) from Khamla Sindhi Colony, Kaivalya Kishore Majumdar (33) from Karve Nagar, and Mayur Vijay Wagh (33) from Tanda Peth, have been booked under sections 102 and 103 of the Trade Marks Act, 1999, and relevant sections of the Copyright Act.


The accused were allegedly found selling counterfeit products openly. The material was confiscated on the spot in presence of panch witnesses. The case has been registered at Tehsil Police Station by PSI Khan, and further investigation is ongoing.
