Nagpur: The Anti-Narcotics Cell of the Crime Branch seized 2.29 kg of ganja worth ₹67,250 and arrested two peddlers during a late-night raid in Yashodharanagar on September 3, 2025.

Acting on reliable information, the team laid a trap near Hamid Nagar, close to a stable in Yashodharanagar. Around 2:00 am to 3:30 am, they nabbed two accused identified as Arman Niyazuddin Siddiqui (26) and Abid alias Sameer Shafique Ahmed (19), both residents of Hamid Nagar.

During interrogation, the duo revealed that they sourced the contraband with the help of an accomplice identified as Sonu, a resident of Shivaji Chowk, Yashodharanagar, who is currently absconding. Police also seized a mobile phone along with the ganja.

A case has been registered under Sections 8(c), 20(b)(2)(B), and 29 of the NDPS Act at Yashodharanagar Police Station. The accused have been arrested, and efforts are underway to trace the absconding supplier.
