Nagpur: A 50-year-old two-wheeler rider lost his life after being hit by a speeding 14-wheeler trucknear Bharat Petroleum Pump on Nagpur–Bhandara Road on October 20, 2025.
According to police sources, Vitthal Ganpat Babre (40), a goods vehicle driver, had parked his truck and was standing nearby when Chintulal Rajaram Onkar (50), resident of Nageshwar Nagar, Pardi, approached the area on his two-wheeler (MH-49-S-3163). A truck (CG-04-LQ-3778) coming from behind reportedly rammed into Onkar’s vehicle, causing severe injuries.
Onkar was rushed to Mayo Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Following Babre’s complaint, Pardi Police Station registered a case against the truck driver under Sections 281 and 106 of the BNS, read with Sections 177 and 184 of the Motor Vehicles Act for rash and negligent driving.
