Nagpur: Hudkeshwar Police have registered a case against a 22-year-old man for allegedly repeatedly raping a 15-year-old girl, photographing her in the nude, and sending the explicit images to her relative through Instagram and email.

The accused has been identified as Sandeep Sanjay Umarkar (22), a resident of a rented house near Shiv Mandir in Vitthal Nagar No. 1 under the jurisdiction of Hudkeshwar Police Station.

According to the FIR, the victim became acquainted with the accused in 2024, after which they entered into a relationship. Police said the accused allegedly lured the minor into a romantic relationship and repeatedly took her to his rented residence, where he allegedly established physical relations with her on multiple occasions.

During this period, the accused allegedly clicked nude photographs of the victim on his mobile phone. He later allegedly sent the images from his email account and an Instagram account named “Naughty Girl Ashwini” to the Instagram and email accounts of the victim’s maternal aunt.

Following the complaint, Hudkeshwar Police registered FIR No. 608/2026 under Sections 64(2), 65(1)(m) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Sections 4 and 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, Sections 66E and 67 of the Information Technology Act, 2000.

Police have launched an investigation into the case.
