Nagpur: Pachpaoli Police have arrested a 35-year-old man for allegedly molesting a minor girl in the area on January 25.

According to police, the 13-year-old victim was returning home around 10:00 pm when the accused, identified as Naushad Ayub Qureshi (35), approached her. Taking advantage of her minor age, he allegedly behaved in an obscene manner and committed acts intended to outrage her modesty.

The girl later informed her family about the incident, following which a complaint was lodged. Police registered a case under Section 74 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) along with Sections 8 and 12 of the POCSO Act.

The accused has been arrested, and further investigation is in progress.
