Nagpur: In a tragic incident, an 18-year-old construction worker died after falling from the 10th floor of the under-construction Orange City Heights project located on Kamptee-Nagpur Road on Friday. The incident falls under the jurisdiction of New Kamptee police station.
The deceased has been identified as Bhamar Bhivsen Manjhi (18), a native of Birighat, Odisha. According to police sources, Bhamar and his brother Natraj were working on the 10th floor of the building. While removing centering materials, Bhamar reportedly lost his balance and fell from the height.
He died on the spot before any medical assistance could arrive. New Kamptee police have registered a case of accidental death and initiated further investigation into the safety measures at the construction site.
