House Break-In at Beltarodi: Thieves Decamp with Cash and Gold Worth ₹6.23 Lakh

Nagpur: A major house break-in was reported under the Beltarodi police station limits after unidentified thieves stole cash and valuables worth over ₹6 lakh from a locked residence.


According to police, the incident took place between 12:00 pm and 9:30 pm on January 25, 2026, at Plot No. 40, Amba Housing Society in Gotal-Panjari, Beltarodi. The complainant, Gyaneshwar Manikrao Bode (57), had locked his house and gone to his native village Kotoli in Saoner taluka along with his family.


Taking advantage of the house being unoccupied, unknown accused broke open the main gate lock and door latch to gain entry. Once inside, they targeted wooden and iron cupboards in the bedroom and fled with ₹2.5 lakh in cash along with gold and silver ornaments. The total value of stolen property is estimated at ₹6.23 lakh.


Based on the complaint, Beltarodi Police have registered a case against unidentified persons under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) pertaining to house-breaking and theft. The offence was registered by Sub-Inspector Sukanya Chaudhary. Police have launched a search for the accused and further investigation is underway.
