Nagpur: A tragic road accident in the Beltarodi police jurisdiction claimed one life and left two others seriously injured on Friday afternoon.

The accident took place around 3:20 PM near the Hyundai showroom at Chichbhavan on Wardha Road. According to police sources, three individuals—Sunil Haribhau Gawai (50), Ramdas Pralhad Jumanake (55), and Dilip Bhaurao Sambhare (63)—all residents of Mohgaon in Butibori, were traveling in a car.

The vehicle, driven by Dilip Sambhare, was reportedly moving at high speed when it lost control and crashed into a roadside signboard. The impact caused severe injuries to all three occupants.

They were immediately rushed to AIIMS Hospital in MIHAN, where doctors declared Sunil Gawai dead on arrival. The other two injured victims are currently undergoing treatment.

Based on a complaint filed by Mithilesh Sunil Gawai (25), son of the deceased, Beltarodi Police have registered a case against the driver under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Motor Vehicles Act for rash and negligent driving.

Further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
