Burglary at Senior Citizen’s House in Gittikhadan; LPG Cylinder, Mixer Stolen from Kitchen

Nagpur: A burglary was reported from Income Tax Society, Dabha, where unidentified thieves broke into a senior citizen’s locked house and decamped with cash and valuables worth ₹1.65 lakh.
According to police, complainant Ambadas Dongre (75) had locked his residence at Plot No. 47 and gone with his family to his daughter’s house in Amravati between August 31 and September 7. On his return, he found the main door lock and latch broken.
Burglars stole ₹500 in cash, gold and silver ornaments, a gas cylinder, mixer, and wristwatch, collectively valued at ₹1,65,500.
Based on Dongre’s complaint, Gittikhadan police registered an offence under sections 305(A), 331(3), and 331(4) of the BNS against unknown persons. Investigation is in progress.
