Nagpur: Burglars struck at a locked house in the Hudkeshwar area, decamping with cash and gold ornaments worth over ₹2.12 lakh.
The complainant, Mangesh Dattatray Misal (44), a resident of Plot No. 10, Ankita Society, Ghogli, Nagpur, had locked his house and gone with his family to his in-laws’ place at Dahegaon, Kalmeshwar. Between October 25 (5 pm) and November 5 (1.30 pm), unidentified thieves broke open the main door lock and latch to gain entry into the house.
The intruders looted ₹80,000 in cash and gold ornaments worth ₹1,32,000, collectively valued at ₹2.12 lakh.
Based on Misal’s complaint, a case has been registered at Hudkeshwar Police Station under Sections 305, 331(3), and 331(4) of the BNS. Police are now tracking leads to identify and arrest the culprits.
