Nagpur: In yet another shocking incident under the Yashodhara Nagar Police Station limits, a youth identified as Sheikh Sohel alias Chand was brutally murdered in broad daylight on Thursday, May 22, near Gulshan Nagar in Vandevi Nagar. This marks the second murder in the same jurisdiction within a week, raising serious concerns over public safety in the area.

According to police sources, the incident took place around Thursday afternoon. Locals reported the gruesome murder, following which Yashodhara Nagar police personnel rushed to the spot and sent Chand’s body for postmortem examination. A manhunt has been launched to apprehend the accused involved in the crime.

Earlier this week, another youth was similarly attacked and killed with a sharp weapon on the cement road near the Zilla Parishad school in Bhilgaon. That incident, also linked to an old rivalry, occurred between 1 pm and 1.45 pm on Monday, further adding to the rising tension in the locality.

The recurrence of such violent crimes in a short span has triggered fear among residents. Yashodhara Nagar Police are actively investigating both cases and are expected to tighten patrolling in sensitive areas.
