40-Year-Old Man Dies After Two-Wheeler Skids Off Flyover in Nagpur

Nagpur: A 40-year-old man died after his two-wheeler reportedly skidded on a flyover under the Ambazari police station limits late Saturday night.


The deceased has been identified as Sunil Kiran Borkar (40), a resident of Drighdhamna near Buddha Vihar, Wadi, Nagpur. The incident occurred around 11:45 pm on January 25 on the flyover stretch between Campus Square and Bhole Petrol Pump.


According to police, Borkar was riding his motorcycle when the vehicle suddenly slipped, causing him to suffer serious injuries. He was found unconscious at the scene and was rushed to Sengupta Hospital. Due to the severity of his condition, he was later shifted to the Government Medical College and Hospital (Medical Trauma Centre).


Despite medical efforts, doctors declared him dead at around 3:00 am on January 26 during treatment.


Based on a complaint filed by his brother, Pankaj Kiran Borkar (39), Ambazari Police have registered a case of accidental death. Further investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the skid.
