Nagpur: A brutal murder case has surfaced in Nagpur, where a young man was stabbed to death after being attacked by a group over a previous altercation.

The incident occurred between 10:30 pm and 11:00 pm on October 15, 2026, under the jurisdiction of Ajni Police Station.

According to police, the complainant Harshal alias Alex Sanjay Shinde (25) was travelling with his friend Sagar Giridhar Salame (22) on a motorcycle toward Siddheshwar Hall. During the journey, Sagar received a phone call asking him to come to Jadu Mahal Chowk in Ajni.

When they reached the location, a group of five men arriving on two mopeds, along with their accomplices, surrounded them. One of the accused referred to a past dispute and initiated an argument before the group turned violent.

The attackers assaulted both victims using wooden sticks, iron rods, and knives, leaving them seriously injured. Sagar attempted to escape but was chased down by the accused near Nandini Medical Stores, where he was repeatedly stabbed in the chest and other parts of the body, resulting in his death.

The complainant, who was also injured, managed to flee on his motorcycle but later lost consciousness near Sakkardara Lake. He was later admitted to a hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment.

Based on the complaint, police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and other applicable laws. A search operation has been launched to trace the accused, and further investigation is underway.
