Nagpur: In view of the large gatherings expected during the celebrations of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti, the Nagpur City Police and Kamptee authorities have announced a series of traffic diversions and restrictions across key areas. The measures will be in effect from April 13 to April 15 to ensure smooth vehicular movement and public safety.

Nagpur Traffic Diversions: April 13–14

From 6 pm on April 13 (Sunday) to 2 am on April 14 (Monday), vehicular movement around Samvidhan Square and nearby routes will be heavily regulated. Motorists are advised to avoid congested areas and follow alternative routes:

• Morris College Chowk to Samvidhan Chowk:Traffic will be diverted via DP Road and Manas Chowk.

• Shree Mohini Complex and Ramjhula area traffic:Vehicles to be rerouted from Jaistambh Chowk via Manas Chowk.

• MSEB Y-Point to Samvidhan Chowk: Diversion through LIC Chowk, Jaistambh Chowk, and Manas Chowk.

• Kannamwar Chowk to Samvidhan Chowk: Use alternate routes via Meethani Chowk or the Old VCA Stadium Road.

• Heavy Vehicles: Advised to avoid city limits and use the Outer Ring Road.

Nagpur Traffic Diversions: April 14–15

From 10 am on April 14 to 2 am on April 15, the following curbs will be enforced:

• Mata Kacheri Chowk to Kachipura Chowk: All vehicular movement will be completely halted.

• Alankar Chowk to Kachipura Chowk: Traffic to be diverted as per need.

• Kripalani Chowk to Mata Kacheri Chowk: Alternate route via Wardha Road, Rahate Colony, and DP Road.

• Indora Zone: Traffic from Bhim Chowk to Barakholi to be rerouted based on crowd density.

• Deekshabhoomi Visitors: Requested to park at designated locations such as Science College, Aath Rasta Chowk Ground, and the Blind School.

Kamptee Traffic Restrictions: April 13–14

Traffic regulations in Kamptee will be in effect from 4 pm on April 13 to 11 pm on April 14 due to the dual observance of Hanuman Jayanti and

Ambedkar Jayanti:

• Nagpur to Kanhan (via Kamptee) heavy vehicles will be diverted through Asha Hospital to Khaparkheda.

• Kanhan to Nagpur traffic will be rerouted via Lihigaon Puliya and Fapsi to Pardi.

Public Advisory:

Authorities have urged citizens to cooperate with traffic personnel, avoid restricted zones, and follow diversion signs. Additional police deployment and traffic marshals will be stationed to manage crowd movement and ensure the safety of all participants.
