Nagpur: A case of house burglary has been reported in the Ajni area of Nagpur, where unidentified thieves broke into a locked residence and decamped with cash and gold ornaments worth ₹2,71,500.
The incident occurred between 10:00 PM on April 7 and 8:10 AM on April 8, 2026, at a residence located at Plot No. 67, Shrihari Nagar No. 1, Manewada Road. The complainant, Naresh Dashrath Kamble (51), had locked his house and gone to stay overnight at his sister’s residence in Amarnagar, Hudkeshwar.
Taking advantage of his absence, unknown accused persons broke open the main door lock and latch to gain entry into the house. They then accessed the bedroom and stole ₹59,500 in cash along with gold ornaments kept inside an iron cupboard.
Based on the complaint filed by the victim, Ajni Police registered a case against unknown accused under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita related to house-breaking and theft. The investigation is being led by Police Sub-Inspector Vaibhav Ganjal, and efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the culprits.
