Nagpur: The Social Security Branch (SSB) of the Nagpur Crime Branch busted a sex racket operating under the guise of a spa in the Wathoda area on Sunday.

Police have arrested two pimps and rescued three girls from the clutches of the accused women. The accused have been identified as Sarika Chandrakant Shrirao (37), a resident of Mata Mandir, Wathoda, and Rohini Sanjay Shrawankar (32), a resident of Dhanvantrari Nagar, Nandanvan, for luring vulnerable girls into the sex trade in exchange for money.

According to police sources, SSB PI Kavita Isarkar reportedly received confidential information regarding a sex racket flourishing in the Wathoda area. Subsequently, the police raided the Exotic Spa in Jal Jalaram Nagar and apprehended the accused duo.

During the raid, police also seized four mobile phones, cash, and other materials worth Rs 77,600. An offence under Sections 4, 5, 7 of the PETA act was registered against the accused.

Under the guidance of Commissioner of Police (CP), Jt CP, Addl CP (Crime), and DCP (Crime), the SSB team led by PI Kavita Isarkar, Police Constable Sachin Badhiye, Naik Police Amaldar Sheshrao Raut, Aarti Chavhan, Police Amaldar Ashwin Mange, Sameer Sheikh, Kunar Masram, Nitin Wasane, and Poonam Shende conducted the operation.
