Nagpur: In a decisive action against unauthorised gatherings, the Sadar Police conducted a raid at Hotel Tuli International on Sunday, arresting two individuals attempting to organise a large-scale party without proper permissions.
Senior Police Inspector Manish Thakre of the Sadar Police stated that the raid took place around 4:30 PM. The arrested individuals have been identified as Karan Suryavanshi, 27, and Kala, 32, a resident of Wadi.
This crackdown follows recent disturbances in the city caused by large gatherings at hotels, prompting the police to intensify their efforts against noise violations and unauthorized events. The request to hold a large-scale party at Hotel Tuli International had been denied by both the Sadar Police and the Police Commissioner’s Office. Despite this denial, the organizers proceeded with their plans, leading to the police intervention.
During the operation, officers confiscated coupons and other materials prepared for the party. Police revealed that Karan Suryavanshi has a previous arrest record related to serious offences, adding to the gravity of the current charges.
Inspector Thakre emphasized the police's commitment to maintaining public order and ensuring that all events comply with legal requirements. The police will continue to monitor and take action against any activities that pose a risk to community safety and violate regulations.
