Nagpur: To mark World Environment Day, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) and Green Vigil Foundation jointly organized a public awareness campaign at World Trade Centre, Sitabuldi, and Sitabuldi Market. The campaign was conducted in line with this year's World Environment Day theme, "Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future."
As part of the initiative, volunteers and team members from Green Vigil Foundation and NMC interacted with citizens, shopkeepers, and street vendors, highlighting the importance of climate action and sustainable living. The campaign promoted the global message of #NowForClimate, emphasizing the urgent need to address climate change through collective efforts.
Participants sensitized the public on various environmental issues, including energy conservation, reduction of carbon emissions, responsible consumption, waste minimization, and adoption of eco-friendly lifestyles. Citizens were encouraged to contribute towards building a climate-resilient future by making environmentally conscious choices in their daily lives.
The campaign received an encouraging response from the public, with many citizens expressing their commitment towards environmental protection and sustainable practices.
