Nagpur: Three juveniles in conflict with law have been detained in connection with the brutal murder of a 17-year-old boy in the Kamptee area on Sunday night.
Police said that around 9.30 pm on March 1, 2026, the victim, identified as Armaan Ali (17), a resident of Kamsari Bazaar in the Cantonment area of Kamptee, was called by an acquaintance for a discussion. He went near Haldiram Restaurant, opposite Dragon Palace Temple, along with his friend Mohit Deepak Dahat (17).
Investigations revealed that the acquaintance and other minor associates allegedly conspired to kill Armaan. The accused reportedly attacked him with sharp weapons, inflicting fatal injuries. Armaan died on the spot, while Mohit sustained serious injuries.
The injured boy was initially admitted to the Sub-District Hospital and later shifted to Mayo Hospital for advanced treatment. His condition is reported to be serious.
Based on a complaint lodged by the victim’s father, Shaukat Abbas Ali (45), New Kamptee Police registered a case under multiple provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita related to murder and criminal conspiracy. Three juveniles have been taken into custody, and further investigation is in progress.
