Nagpur: The 16th State-Level Swimming Championship 2024, organized by the Para Olympic Sports Association Maharashtra, concluded at the Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation. On the first day of the event, Nagpur's Ishwari Pande made a remarkable mark by securing three medals—one gold and two silver.
Ishwari Pande participated in the junior category, competing in the 50-meter breaststroke, backstroke, and freestyle events. She clinched the gold medal in the 50-meter breaststroke by finishing the race in 1 minute and 30 seconds. Additionally, she secured silver in the 50-meter freestyle with a time of 1 minute and 3 seconds, and in the 50-meter backstroke with a time of 1 minute and 18 seconds.
Ishwari trains at the local Shark Aquatic Sporting Association under the guidance of coach Sanjay Batve. She practices regularly at the NIT Swimming Pool in Nagpur, showing dedication and determination in her sport.
