Nagpur: Panic gripped the city on Friday after the CGO (Central Government Offices) Complex under Gittikhadan Police Station received a bomb threat via email here on Friday, June 6. The incident comes just days after a similar threat was sent to the Nagpur Bench of the Bombay High Court. In both cases, police found no suspicious items during their investigations.
Following the alert, personnel from the Gittikhadan Police Station, along with the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS), swiftly responded and conducted a thorough search of the CGO Complex premises. Despite the extensive scanning operation, authorities confirmed that nothing suspicious was recovered from the site.
Police officials have registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and are working to trace the origin of the threatening email. Investigations are currently underway to identify and apprehend the person responsible for sending the hoax threat.
The bomb scare led to heightened security measures in and around the CGO Complex, although normalcy has since been restored. Authorities have urged citizens to remain calm and report any suspicious activity.
