Nagpur: In a remarkable show of public service and dedication, Zone 5 police under the leadership of DCP Niketan Kadam ensured safety and order during the 10-day Navratri festivities bandobast at Koradi Jagdamba Devi Temple and Bhavani Mata Temple, Pardi. Along with effective bandobast arrangements, Nagpur police successfully reunited missing citizens with their families and returned lost valuables to rightful owners.

According to police, from Koradi temple premises alone, 35 missing citizens including women, children, and senior citizens were traced and handed over to their families. Additionally, 13 missing mobile phones and 24 purses/bags containing cash and documents were recovered and returned.

At Bhavani Mata temple in Pardi, police traced 15 missing persons and returned them to their relatives. They also recovered 6 mobile phones and 8 purses/bags which were handed back to the owners.

In total, Nagpur police reunited 50 missing citizens, and recovered 19 mobile phones and 32 purses/bags, ensuring they reached their rightful owners.

The bandobast was conducted under the guidance of Commissioner of Police Dr. Ravinder Kumar Singal, Joint CP Navinchandra Reddy, and Additional CP Rajendra Dabhade. DCP Zone 5 Niketan Kadam personally supervised the operations with the assistance of ACP Ankush Khedkar (Kamptee), ACP Satyavirkumar Bandiwar (Jaripatka), ACP Roshan Pandit (Control), Sr. PI Popat Dhayatonde (Koradi), Sr. PI Nanda Mangate (Pardi) and dedicated staff.

Nagpur police emphasized that these efforts highlight their sensitivity, responsibility, and citizen-friendly approach. Authorities have also appealed to citizens to remain vigilant about their belongings in crowded places and to immediately contact nearby police officials in case of loss.
