Nagpur: In a commendable operation, the Mobile Missing Squads of Wadi, MIDC and Hingna police stations successfully traced and recovered 60 stolen or missing mobile phones worth ₹6 lakh, which were handed back to their rightful owners on Monday.
The recovered phones were returned to the citizens by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 1) S Rushikesh Reddy in a formal handover ceremony.
Recovery Details
- Wadi Police Station Mobile Missing Squad: 50 phones
- MIDC Police Station Mobile Missing Squad: 7 phones
- Hingna Police Station Mobile Missing Squad: 3 phones
Team Behind the Operation
The recovery operation was carried out under the guidance of Satish Gurav, ACP, MIDC Division, along with:
- Senior PI Rajesh Tatkare (Wadi)
- Senior PI Mahajan (MIDC)
- Senior PI Jitendra Bobde (Hingna)
- PSI Yogesh Gupta (Wadi)
- PSI Sunil Sarkate (MIDC)
- Head Constable Anand Wankhede (Hingna)
The officers, through skilled technical analysis and tracking methods, managed to locate and retrieve the handsets, which had been reported missing in different cases.
DCP Reddy lauded the efforts of the police squads and urged citizens to promptly report cases of mobile theft or loss so that timely action can be taken.
