Nagpur: A 20-year-old woman was killed after falling off a motorcycle and coming under the wheels of a truck in New Kamptee on August 24.

The victim, Jagruti Hukamchand Thakre, a resident of Katangi Sawangi in Madhya Pradesh, was travelling as a pillion rider with her nephew Sagar Durgaprasad Tembhre (19) on his Splendor motorcycle (MH-49-AD-4623).

Around 8 am, near Hockey Building, Kalamna T-point, the rider lost balance, causing Jagruti to fall on the road. She came under the left wheel of a truck (MH-46-F-0112) trailing behind, sustaining fatal injuries.

She was rushed to Asha Hospital, Kamptee, but doctors declared her dead during treatment. New Kamptee Police have registered a case of accidental death, and probing further.
