Nagpur: Missing Minor Girls Rescued by Anti-Human Trafficking Unit in Separate Cases from Dragon Palace, Railway Station

Nagpur: In two separate operations, the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) of the Nagpur Crime Branch successfully traced and rescued two minor girls who had gone missing from different police jurisdictions.


Girl Missing from Old Kamptee Rescued from Dragon Palace Area


A 16-year-old girl residing in Old Kamptee police jurisdiction had left home on June 4, telling her family she was heading to tuition classes but did not return. Based on a complaint filed by her 34-year-old father, a case was registered under Section 137(2) of the BNS.


Acting on a reliable tip-off and using technical investigation, AHTU officers located the girl on June 9 near the Dragon Palace premises in Kamptee. She was safely rescued, counseled, and handed over to Old Kamptee Police for further legal procedure.


Missing Girl from MIDC Traced at Nagpur Railway Station:


In another incident, a 14-year-old girl from MIDC area went missing on February 11 after informing her parents she was going to school. When she failed to return, her family lodged a complaint at MIDC Police Station. A case was registered under Section 137(2) of BNS.


Based on a tip-off from the girl’s father, the AHTU team tracked her down at Nagpur Railway Station, where she was arriving from Raipur. After detailed questioning and counseling, she was safely handed over to MIDC Police for further action.


Both operations were conducted under the supervision of Commissioner of Police Ravinder Kumar Singal, Joint CP Navinchandra Reddy, Additional CP (Crime) Vasant Pardeshi, DCP (Detection) Rahul Makanikar, and ACP (Crime Branch) Abhijit Patil. The team included PI Lalita Todase, API Ganjendrasingh Thakur, Constables Shyam Angulthewar, Ram Nirgudwar, Deepak Gite, and Ashwini Khodpewar.
