Nagpur: In a shocking incident, Atul Patil, a Gram Panchayat member from Pipla in Saoner, was brutally stabbed to death in the early hours of Tuesday, June 16.

According to sources, the murder occurred between 2 am and 3 am. The accused has been identified as Himanshu Kumbhalkar. He is currently absconding.

Following the incident, Patil’s body was shifted to Mayo Hospital for post-mortem. The motive behind the murder is yet to be ascertained.

Saoner Police have launched a manhunt to trace the accused, and an investigation is underway.
