Bomb Threat Forces Emergency Landing of Kochi-Delhi Flight at Nagpur Airport

Nagpur: An IndiGo Kochi-to-Delhi flight was forced to make an emergency landing at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport in Nagpur on Tuesday, June 16, after a bomb threat was reported mid-air.


According to preliminary information, the airline authorities received a threat claiming that a bomb had been planted on the aircraft. Following standard protocol, the flight was diverted and landed safely at Nagpur Airport.


The Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) immediately reached the spot and initiated a thorough search operation. All passengers were safely evacuated, and the aircraft was isolated for inspection.


Airport security, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), and local police are currently on high alert and are investigating the source of the threat.
