Nagpur: The Crime Branch Unit 5 of Nagpur Police arrested a 31-year-old man and seized prohibited intoxicant tablets and four weapons during Operation All Out in the Kalamna area, police said.

The operation was conducted across Nagpur between 11 pm on August 13 and 2 am on August 14, 2026, on the orders of the Nagpur Police Commissioner.

At around 11.15 pm on August 13, Crime Branch Unit 5 personnel were patrolling within their jurisdiction when they received information that Santosh alias Mama alias Kubda Rajudas Yadav (31) was allegedly storing prohibited narcotic tablets at his residence near Nag Mandir in Gulshan Nagar, Kalamna.

Acting on the information, police searched the house and allegedly recovered strips of NITZASCEN-10 Nitrazepam tablets, marked as Schedule H1 prescription drugs, worth Rs 45 per strip. During questioning, Yadav allegedly told police that he had obtained the tablets with the assistance of Sumit Rajudas Yadav (25) and another person identified as Shetty.

The search also led to the recovery of one iron sickle, one iron knife and two steel knives. The total value of the seized tablets and weapons was estimated at Rs 5,862.

Police said Yadav was found in possession of the prohibited tablets and weapons allegedly for financial gain. A case has been registered at Kalamna Police Station under relevant sections of the NDPS Act, Arms Act and Maharashtra Police Act.

Yadav has been arrested, while efforts are underway to trace the other wanted accused. Further investigation is in progress.
