NAGPUR: A dispute over garbage being thrown into a neighbour’s house escalated into a violent clash, with a 53-year-old man and his two sons allegedly assaulted with wooden sticks by their neighbours in Rajiv Nagar, along Hingna Road, under the jurisdiction of MIDC Police Station on Thursday.

The complainant, identified as Ashok Ramakant Verma, was cleaning his house around 5.30 pm on November 5 when garbage allegedly thrown from the house of his neighbour, Rajendra Prasad, landed inside his premises.

Verma’s wife, Rekha, objected to the neighbour’s actions and questioned him about throwing garbage into their house. This reportedly led to an argument, during which Prasad allegedly abused her.

When Verma and his sons, Aman (25) and Abhishek (22), intervened to resolve the dispute, the accused allegedly joined hands and attacked the trio with wooden sticks, hitting them on their heads and leaving them injured.

The accused also allegedly vandalised Verma’s TVS Jupiter scooter, causing damage to the vehicle.

Based on Verma’s complaint, MIDC Police registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
