Nagpur: Unidentified burglars struck a locked house in Khaparkheda and decamped with ₹2.46 lakh worth of cash and gold ornaments, police said on Saturday.
Complainant Tukaram Gopalrao Hud (65), a resident of Ward No. 3, Pipla Dakbangla, had locked his house and left with his family to visit his in-laws between 10 pm on November 18 and 10:30 pm on November 20. During this period, thieves allegedly broke open the main door lock and latch, entered the house, and stole ₹30,000 in cash along with various gold ornaments kept in the bedroom’s iron cupboard.
Following a complaint, HC Tekam registered a case under Sections 305(A), 331(3), 331(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita against unidentified offenders at Khaparkheda Police Station. Further investigation is in progress to trace the culprits.
