Kohima: The Indian Army successfully conducted a Tri-Service Integrated Multi-Domain Warfare Exercise, Exercise Prachand Prahaar, in the high-altitude terrain of Arunachal Pradesh from March 25 to March 27, 2025. The large-scale drill, held under the Eastern Command, brought together the Indian Army, Indian Air Force, and other armed forces to enhance operational synergy and simulate future warfare scenarios.

The exercise focused on seamless integration of surveillance, strike capabilities, and multi-domain operational planning. Advanced platforms such as long-range maritime reconnaissance aircraft, UAVs, loitering munitions, armed helicopters, and space-based assets were deployed to achieve real-time situational awareness and rapid target engagement.

Once simulated targets were identified, the forces executed coordinated strikes using fighter aircraft, long-range rocket systems, medium artillery, swarm drones, kamikaze drones, and armed helicopters—all within an electronically contested environment that replicated modern battlefield conditions.

The exercise was reviewed by Lieutenant General Ram Chander Tiwari, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Command, and Air Marshal Surat Singh, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Air Command, who commended the troops for their operational excellence and professionalism.

Building upon Exercise Poorvi Prahar conducted in November 2024, Exercise Prachand Prahaar further validated joint surveillance, command and control, and precision firepower strategies across all three services. This large-scale integrated exercise underscores the Indian Armed Forces’ focus on joint operations, technological superiority, and readiness to counter multi-domain threats along India’s strategic frontiers.
