Fatal Hit-and-Run in Nagpur: Elderly Cyclist Killed Near FCI Godown

Nagpur: A tragic hit-and-run incident in the Dhantoli police jurisdiction claimed the life of a 65-year-old cyclist on April 28, 2026.
The victim, Dudharam Laxman Patil, was cycling towards Medical Hospital when a speeding car (Swift Dzire) hit him from behind near the FCI godown gate on the cement road. The driver fled the scene without offering any assistance.
The victim was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead late रात during treatment.
Based on a complaint filed by his relative, Pawan Patil, Dhantoli Police have registered a case under sections related to rash and negligent driving under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Motor Vehicles Act. The accused driver is currently absconding, and a search operation is underway.
