Pravesh Gupta, a well-known criminal in Pandhrabodi, has a long history of serious charges, including murder. He is associated with the infamous Shekhu gang, which has been involved in several violent crimes in the area. After Shekhu's release from prison, Gupta allegedly resumed his criminal activities, reigniting his rivalry with Abhishek Bhardwaj and a minor involved in the conflict.
The violent clash occurred during the Ganesh Visarjan at Hill Top, around 12:15 a.m. on Sunday. Bhardwaj, accompanied by Golu and the minor, was travelling by bike from Ramnagar when they encountered Gupta and his associates near a junk shop. A confrontation ensued, during which Gupta allegedly snatched a mobile phone from the minor and attempted to strangle him.
The situation escalated when Mayur Bhandaatkar, a member of Gupta's gang, attacked Bhardwaj, Golu, and the minor with a knife, inflicting serious injuries on the minor, including wounds to the chest and head. In retaliation, Bhardwaj and his associates stabbed Gupta in the stomach and chest, leaving him critically injured. Mayur Bhandaatkar and Abhishek Jeevtode were also hurt in the melee.
