Nagpur: Kotwali Police have registered a case against FIIT-JEE coaching institute operator for allegedly duping 60 parents of ₹76.65 Lakh in tuition fees before shutting down his center.
According to the complaint filed by Nilesh Premnarayan Khandelwal (48), a resident of Maskasath, Lalganj Road, Itwari, Nagpur, and 59 other parents, the accused D.K. Goyal, a resident of Vijay Mandal Enclave, Sarvapriya Vihar, New Delhi, had been running FIIT-JEE coaching classes in Old Nandanvan, Kotwali.
The accused allegedly collected tuition fees for two years from students preparing for competitive exams. However, on January 1, 2025, at around 10:00 AM, he shut down the institute without prior notice and disappeared, leaving parents and students stranded.
Following complaints, Kotwali Police registered a case against Goyal under BNS Sections 318(4) and 316(2). Authorities are currently working to trace the accused and recover the funds.
