Family Out for Function, Thieves Strike: Gold, Silver, and Cash Stolen in Kamptee

Nagpur: A burglary case has been registered at the Old Kamptee Police Station after unknown thieves broke into a house and stole valuables worth over ₹1.5 lakh.
The complainant, Nasir Ahmed Nisar Ahmed Sheikh (38), a resident of Luni Kamptee, had gone to Parseoni with his family on April 6, 2026, to finalize a family marriage proposal.
During his absence, between 1:00 PM and 8:00 PM, unidentified accused entered his house through an open door and stole ₹88,000 in cash along with gold and silver ornaments, totaling ₹1,51,200.
Following the complaint, police have registered a case against unknown accused under applicable theft sections. The investigation is being handled by Police Sub-Inspector Sagar Bhandari.
