Externed Criminal Arrested in Nagpur for Violating Ban Order; MIDC Police Take Action

Nagpur: The MIDC Police arrested an externed criminal for allegedly violating an externment order and illegally entering Nagpur city limits without permission.

According to police officials, acting on a credible tip-off, MIDC Police conducted a raid on June 2, 2026, at around 7.15 pm in Rajiv Nagar Vasti, Shubham Nagar. During the operation, police found Nilesh alias Ghazni Shilanath Shah (27), a resident of the area, at his residence.


Upon verification of official records, police discovered that Shah had been externed from both Nagpur City and Nagpur Rural jurisdictions for a period of two years under Externment Order No. 01/2025 issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone No. 1, on April 24, 2026.


Despite the order, the accused was found within the prohibited area without obtaining prior permission from authorities. Police suspect that he had entered the jurisdiction with the intention of engaging in criminal activities.


Based on a complaint filed by Police Constable Nilesh Dubey, MIDC Police registered a case against the accused under Section 142 of the Maharashtra Police Act. PSI Dilip Thorwe arrested the accused, and further investigation is underway.
