DCM Ajit Pawar Chairs Meeting to Finalize ₹1,763 Crore Annual District Plan for Nagpur Division

Nagpur: A high-level meeting chaired by Deputy Chief Minister and Finance and Planning Minister Ajit Pawar was held on Monday, February 3, to finalise the draft of the General Annual District Plan for 2025-26. The meeting approved a proposed budget of ₹1,763.70 crore for the Nagpur division.


Ajit Pawar conducted a district-wise review through video conferencing, engaging with Guardian Ministers and District Collectors to assess development projects across Nagpur, Wardha, Bhandara, Gondia, Chandrapur, and Gadchiroli districts. Detailed discussions were held on various development initiatives aimed at strengthening regional infrastructure and services.


Key officials present at the meeting included Finance and Planning Minister of State Adv. Ashish Jaiswal, senior MPs, MLAs, Guardian Secretaries of the respective districts, Additional Chief Secretary of the Planning Department Rajgopal Deora, Additional Chief Secretary Milind Mhaiskar, Divisional Commissioner Dr. Madhavi Khode, and officials from district planning offices.


District-Wise Financial Allocation:


Nagpur: ₹509.6 crore

Wardha: ₹207.22 crore

Bhandara: ₹173.27 crore

Gondia: ₹198.51 crore

Chandrapur: ₹340.88 crore

Gadchiroli: ₹334.76 crore


Each district’s draft plan has received approval within the government-prescribed financial limits. The proposal aims to accelerate socio-economic growth and development in the region by addressing local priorities and infrastructure needs.


Guardian Ministers Chandrashekhar Bawankule (Nagpur), Pankaj Bhoyar (Wardha), Sanjay Sawkare (Bhandara), Babasaheb Patil (Gondia), Dr. Ashok Uikey (Chandrapur), and Additional Guardian Minister Adv. Ashish Jaiswal (Gadchiroli) attended the meeting via video conferencing. District Collectors Dr. Vipin Itankar (Nagpur), Vanmatie Shi (Wardha), Sanjay Kolte (Bhandara), Pradip Nair (Gondia), Avishant Panda (Gadchiroli), and Vinay Gowda (Chandrapur) were also present.
