Nagpur: In a significant development, the Nagpur Bench of Bombay High Court, on Wednesday granted bail to several accused individuals linked to the Nagpur riots case. The decision came after extensive hearings on multiple bail applications filed before the Court.

The accused were represented by a legal team comprising Adv. Asif Qureshi, Adv. Shirrang Bhandarkar, Adv. Rafique Akbani, Adv. Adil Mohammad, Adv. Naveed Opai, and Adv. Adil Sheikh. The team made detailed legal submissions and placed relevant facts and precedents on record, which were duly appreciated by the Hon’ble Court.

The Court’s order to release the accused on bail has been viewed as a reaffirmation of the principle that every individual is presumed innocent until proven guilty. Legal experts consider the ruling a vital step toward upholding the integrity of the judicial process and ensuring fair treatment under the law.

The riots case, which had drawn significant public and legal attention, continues to be under investigation. The bail order is expected to impact the proceedings moving forward, as the accused will now be able to assist in their defense from outside custody.
