In light of the ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the suspension of all Indian Premier League (IPL) matches until further notice. The decision comes as a precautionary measure amidst escalating geopolitical developments in the region.
In an official statement, the BCCI said the move was taken “in the interest of national security and public safety.” The board also expressed hope for a peaceful resolution and assured fans that updates regarding the tournament schedule would be shared in due course.
Further decisions are expected following high-level consultations with central authorities and security agencies.
