Nagpur: In a swift action, Ambazari Police arrested a youth carrying a sharp weapon near Telangkhedi Garden during a night patrol.

The suspect, identified as Aniket alias Mari Rakesh Shendre (22), was spotted behaving suspiciously on a motorcycle. When approached, he attempted to flee but was quickly apprehended.

During a search, police recovered:

• A sharp iron knife
• A black-and-white KTM Bajaj motorcycle with a partially visible number plate

The total seized property is valued at approximately ₹1.5 lakh.

Police registered a case under relevant sections of the Arms Act and Maharashtra Police Act, citing intent to commit a cognizable offense and violation of prohibitory orders. The accused has been taken into custody, and further investigation is underway.
