Nagpur: In a tragic incident, a 26-year-old youth died after suffering an electric shock while carrying out electrical fitting work at a house in Wathoda on Thursday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Rahul Harichandra Bhivapurkar, a resident of Plot No. 6, Sahil Nagar, Wathoda. According to police, the incident occurred between 7 pm and 8 pm when Rahul was working at the residence of Avinash Dabare, located in Maha Housing Society, Tarodi, Wathoda. He came in contact with a live wire and collapsed on the spot.

He was initially rushed to Integrity Hospital, Kharbi, and later shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors pronounced him dead.

Following medical intimation, Sub-Inspector Morya of Wathoda Police Station registered a case of accidental death (A.D.). Further investigation is in progress.
